The Library Board of Trustees recently approved an adjustment to the hours of operation at this and six other library locations. These hours will take effect on Monday, February 23, 2026. For more information, visit washoelibrary.org/newhours2026.
The Verdi Library also offers 24-hour hold pickup lockers.

Verdi is a small community library located on Bridge Street behind the Verdi Elementary School. This library represents a collaboration between three government agencies: the Washoe County School District, the Washoe County Library System, and the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
The library is in a beautiful forest setting. There is a 20-minute nature walk right outside our door, and the Truckee River is only a block away. Verdi is indeed a community library and serves as a place to pick up current bestsellers, to research local history, or to gain access to the entire Washoe County Library System.
