Washoe County unveils a new, more mobile-friendly website.

Reno, Nevada. Jan. 28, 2015. It’s launch week for a project that has been in the works for quite some time - the beta launch of our new Washoe County website. Citizens are invited to check out a smaller version of the portal that connects our 30 plus departments to the community on the web.

Washoe County staff hopes citizens find the website more mobile-friendly and a better reflection of the incredible county we live, work and play in every day.

Prior to building the website, Washoe County staff conducted an extensive research process which included several focus groups with citizens and members of the business community with the goal of creating a website that provides information in an organized and easily accessible format.

The beta version provides a simple look at the website design. Full functionality will come when the website is officially launched (tentatively scheduled at the end of February).

Until the official launch, Washoe County encourages residents to check out our new site at http://beta.washoecounty.us. Please provide comments and rate the new site design by clicking on the blue “feedback” tab that’s featured on the right side of every page.
