Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Discussion about automatic aid with City of Reno resumes June 15.

Reno, Nevada (June 12, 2015) — A Concurrent Meeting between the Reno City Council and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District Board of Fire Commissioners will take place on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at Reno City Hall.

The entities will continue the discussion surrounding fire services following a May 26 Concurrent Meeting, during which the Reno City Council and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District Board of Fire Commissioners agreed to move forward with a potential automatic aid agreement. That process includes defining geographic areas of coverage and analyzing associated costs.

When: Monday, June 15, 2015, 1:30 p.m.
Where: Reno City Hall, Council Chamber, first floor, 1 E. First St.
Who: Reno City Council and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District Board of Fire Commissioners

Monday’s meeting will include (but is not limited to) discussion and possible direction to staff on the following topics:

  • An outline of the process to develop an automatic aid agreement.
  • Regional dispatch protocol (presented by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office).
  • Consolidation, regionalization, and the Blue Ribbon Committee Report.
