Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Washoe County seeks Regional Animal Services Kennel/Exotic Permit Board members

Applications are due Sept. 30, 2015.

Reno, Nevada. August 28, 2015. Washoe County is seeking individuals interested in serving on the Regional Animal Services Kennel/Exotic Permit Board to fill Four (4) four-year terms. Opening seats are in Commission Districts 1, 2, 4 and 5. Appointments will be made at the Nov. 24, 2015, Board of County Commissioners meeting.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 30, 2015, at 5 p.m. Complete and submit your application online through Washoe County’s volunteer application portal.

Persons applying should be sufficiently experienced in business, real estate, homeowner associations or animal expertise to bring knowledge and sound judgment to the deliberations of the Board, and have the ability to read and analyze detailed documents and statements.

The Board meets once per quarter on Tuesday afternoon to discuss applications by persons who have exceeded the authorized number of dogs or cats on a property and persons wishing to obtain exotic animals as pets.
