Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Two workshops to discuss changes to Mt. Rose and Washoe Valley Scenic Byways.

Reno, Nevada. Aug. 28, 2015. The Mt. Rose and the Washoe Valley Scenic Byways are undergoing changes and Washoe County wants the public’s recommendations on ways to enhance them. The scenic byways will be the topics discussed at the workshops.

Two public workshops are being held, one for each byway. Safety, access, environmental risks and rewards and ways to manage and preserve the areas near the scenic byways will be discussed.

Mt. Rose Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan Public Workshop

Where: South Valleys Library at 1560A Wedge Pkwy, Reno, Nev. 89511

When: Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Washoe Valley Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan Public Workshop

Where: Nevada Division of Forestry Eastlake facility at 885 Eastlake Blvd., Carson City, Nevada.

When: Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
