Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

2015 Northern Nevada Regional Snow Workshop is Sept. 29-30.

Reno, Nevada. Sept. 28, 2015. The 2015 Northern Nevada Regional Snow Workshop will be held Sept. 29-30, 2015, at the Regional Public Safety Training Center.

Representatives from the City of Reno, City of Sparks, Washoe County, Nevada Department of Transportation, and Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority will collaborate to provide training and practical skills in preparation for the upcoming winter.

The five entities will review the Interlocal Agreement, which aims to keep the area’s major roads open in case of a massive snow event like the region experienced in early 2005. The workshop will also offer educational classes and a snow equipment skills course.

What: Northern Nevada Regional Snow Workshop

When: Tuesday, Sept. 29 and Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015

Where: Regional Public Safety Training Center at 5190 Spectrum Blvd. in Reno

Agenda: Classes from 7:30 a.m. to noon; lunch from noon to 1 p.m.; skills course /vendors from 1 to 4 p.m.
