Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Fire Ops 101 gives you a chance to face real life emergency scenarios.

Reno, Nevada. Oct. 8, 2015. Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a firefighter? Have you ever wanted to protect the community from danger and save those in peril? Fire Ops 101 is a chance to see what it’s like to handle real life emergency scenarios. The media is invited to join Washoe County Commissioners and other elected officials Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, to battle a blaze, rescue a victim from a car accident and provide medical care, all while wearing full fire gear.

The goal of Fire Ops 101 is to show participants the challenges firefighters face every day to keep our communities safe.

The Truckee Meadows Firefighters Association Local 3895 is hosted by Fire Ops 101.

What: Fire Ops 101 event

Where: Carson City Fire Station #52 at 2400 East College Parkway, Carson City, NV.

When: Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
