Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Commissioner Bob Lucey to hold a District Forum and donate to South Valleys Library

Commissioner Lucey hosts a District Forum to discuss several topics.

Reno, Nevada. Oct. 14, 2015. Washoe County Commissioner Bob Lucey invites residents living within District 2 to attend a District Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. The District Forum, at South Valleys Library, gives people a chance to meet Commissioner Lucey and discuss any topics of concern.

In addition to a discussion with residents from District 2, the Great Basin Exploration Center will present a $1,500 donation to the South Valleys Library. A family from the community is also donating an additional $500. Commissioner Lucey is matching the $2,000 donation to the South Valleys Library with a donation from his Commission District Special Funds. The $2,000 donation from Commissioner Lucey’s Commission District Special Funds will be put on the Oct. 27, 2015, Board of County Commissioners agenda for approval.

Donated funds to the South Valleys Library will be used to improve educational activities and enhance the success of existing programs at the library.
