Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Washoe County offices closed due to inclement weather

Washoe County Clerk’s Office will remain open.

Reno, Nevada. Dec. 24, 2015. Due to inclement weather and declining road conditions, Washoe County will be closing administrative offices for the remainder of the day. Statutorily mandated services will continue.

The following administrative offices will be closed:

  • Administrative offices at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street in Reno
  • Washoe County Senior Services and the congregate meal sites
  • All Washoe County libraries  
  • The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office
  • Regional Animal Services shelter operations and office will be closed, but field operations will continue as normal.
  • Washoe County Health District
  • Sparks Justice Court

The office of the County Clerk at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth St., and Wells Ave., in Reno will remain open for the issuance of marriage licenses, fictitious firm names and notary bond filings.
