Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Washoe County is seeking public input on code relating to accessory structures on vacant property

Community Services Department hosting workshop and open house Thursday, May 12, 2016.

Reno, Nevada. May 4, 2016. The Washoe County Community Services Department’s Planning and Development Division is hosting a public workshop and open house regarding proposed amendments to Washoe County Code Chapter 110 (Development Code). The proposed updates focus on accessory structures and uses located on vacant property adjacent to a lot with a home or other established main use, and when both properties are under the same ownership.

The event is Thursday, May 12, 2016, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Washoe County Administration Complex. The public is welcome to stop by at any time during the workshop hours. County staff will be available to discuss the proposed amendments until 6 p.m.

Following public input, the amendments will be discussed by the Washoe County Planning Commission at its meeting. The public hearing is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
