Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Topic: No Bare Hand Contact with Ready-to-Eat (RTE) Foods

Health District offers free food safety workshops

Reno, NV – The Environmental Health Services (EHS) Division of the Washoe County Health District will present free food safety workshops on No Bare Hand Contact with Ready-to-Eat (RTE) Foods on May 23 and May 24, 2016. These workshops are open to the public and are completely FREE! All members of the public are encouraged to attend, especially those working in the food service industry. Environmental Health Services (EHS) staff members also will be educating the public about Foodborne Illnesses that may be caused by bare hand contact with RTE foods, and how to prevent them.

The free workshops will be held on the following dates:

Monday May 23rd: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Location: Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, 2707 S. Virginia Street,

Sorrento 1 and 2 Banquet Rooms (2nd Floor)

Tuesday May 24th: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Location: Washoe County Health District,

1001 East Ninth Street, Building B, Conference Room B
