Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Notice of Workshops and Public Hearing for Amendments to the Regulations of the Washoe County District Board of Health Governing Food Establishments

The Washoe County Health District (WCHD) invites you to attend workshops regarding proposed amendments to current regulations governing food establishments.  The WCHD proposes to delete sections 240.060 and 240.065 related to grades and grading of food establishments; add some provisions; and, make minor edits and formatting corrections.  These workshops will provide businesses and individuals affected by these changes additional information and opportunity for input.  Feedback collected will be used to develop recommendations for the District Board of Health, who then will be notified of the proposed changes and subsequently hold a Public Hearing where they may take action.  The public will have an opportunity to speak at these meetings.

The Workshops will be held:                      Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 5:30pm and Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 1:30pm

The Notice of Proposed Change:               Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 1:00pm
The Public Hearing will be held:                Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 1:00pm

Workshops will be held in the South Auditorium of the WCHD and the Public Hearing will be held in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers at 1001 E. Ninth Street, Reno, Nevada.
