NOTE: The time for Walk With Washoe hikes has changed to 5:30 p.m. starting Sept. 20. Thank you.

Reno, Nevada. June 3, 2016. Join Washoe County Manager John Slaughter as he embarks on a series of hikes to soak up the sights and sounds at Washoe County parks this summer during the inaugural Walk With Washoe. Washoe County is encouraging people to get outside to explore the outdoors and experience the physical and mental health benefits of exercise.

The inaugural Walk With Washoe began June 7, 2016, and goes through Oct. 4, 2016. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and occurs every first and third Tuesday of the month.

“We are so fortunate to have such an amazing park and trail system within our community. The Truckee Meadows Trails Challenge is an excellent way to motivate people to explore the wonderful benefits of our parks, and we are thrilled to host this program,” Slaughter said.
