Workshops will review new rating system

A new food establishment inspection rating system will begin in November 2016. The system will use a color coded scale, similar to a red, yellow, green stop light, to reflect the status of out of compliance foodborne illness risk factors.  The easy to recognize rating system will assist the public in understanding inspection results of all food establishments.

To learn more about the new food establishment inspection and rating process, the Food Safety Program is offering three public workshops on the following days/times:
  • September 12th, 9:30am-10:30am
Eldorado Resort & Casino 345 N. Virginia Street, Reno
Bordeaux/Claret Room
  • September 13th, 9:00am-10:00am
Washoe County Health District Complex
1001 E. 9th Street, Reno Building B
  • September 14th, 3:00pm-4:00pm
Washoe County Health District Complex
1001 E. 9th Street, Reno Building B

Each workshop is one hour long and free to attend. No registration is required.  The same information will be covered at each workshop.
