New Certified Pool Operator Regulations

Health District seeks public comment and offers workshops on proposed regulations governing Certified Pool Operators

The proposed amendments to the Regulations of the Washoe County District Board of Health Governing Public Swimming Pool and Spa Operator Certification Program are now available for review and comment.

Washoe County Health District (WCHD) would like to invite you to attend a workshop to learn about the proposed amendments to our 2013 regulations governing the public swimming pool and spa operator program, to remove the requirements for a separate WCHD operator card and fee.  The purpose of the workshops is to provide businesses and individuals affected by these regulation amendments additional information and opportunity for input.  Feedback collected will be utilized to develop recommendations for the District Board of Health (DBOH), who will consider the proposed changes during a Public Hearing where they may take action to adopt the regulations as proposed or adopt them with additional changes.  The public will have an opportunity to speak at these meetings.
