New Invasive Body Decoration Regulations

Health District seeks public comment and offers workshops on proposed regulations governing tattoos, piercings and permanent makeup

The proposed amendments to the Regulations of the Washoe County District Board of Health Governing Invasive Body Decoration Establishments are now available for review and comment. Also included for review are the Proposed State of Nevada Invasive Body Decoration Draft Regulations.

Washoe County Health District (WCHD) would also like to invite you to attend a workshop to learn about a proposed complete revision of, and updates to, our regulations governing invasive body decoration establishments, to meet current business practices. The purpose of the workshops is to provide businesses and individuals affected by these regulation amendments additional information and opportunity for input.  Feedback collected will be utilized to develop recommendations for the District Board of Health (DBOH), who will consider the proposed changes during a Public Hearing where they may take action to adopt the regulations as proposed or adopt them with additional changes.
