Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Regional Trails Coalition hosts 3rd Annual Trails Summit

Summit to be held Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at Bartley Ranch Regional Park.

Reno, Nevada. Nov. 3, 2016. The newly formed Eastern Sierra Trails Coalition, a collaboration of more than 20 agencies, non-profits, community organizations and trail advocates, is hosting the 3rd Annual Eastern Sierra Trails Summit on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Reno. The theme of this year’s summit is “Connecting Communities through Recreational Trails.” During the Summit, there will be a roll-out of the new coalition and a signing ceremony that symbolizes region-wide support to the trail partnership and a vision for interconnected trail networks across many jurisdictions.  

The Coalition works together to improve interagency planning, connect trails, share and leverage resources, expand training, and promote community awareness of trails. The Summit will include panels discussing the economic benefit of trails, fundraising successes and trail mapping exercises..

This event is supported by the generous donations from several local organizations and businesses, including the Washoe County, Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association, Tahoe Rim Trail Association, Sierra Front Recreation Coalition and Sierra Trail Works.

When: Friday, Nov. 4, 2016. (10:15 a.m. is a photo opportunity of the coalition signing ceremony) The Summit runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
