Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Fire Ops 101 gives media and elected officials a chance to face real life emergency scenarios.

Reno, Nevada. Nov. 16, 2016. Fire Ops 101 provides a unique opportunity to see what it’s like to handle real life emergency scenarios.

The media is invited to join Washoe County Commissioners and other elected officials Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, to battle a blaze, rescue a victim from a car accident and provide medical care, all while wearing full fire gear.

The goal of Fire Ops 101 is to show participants the challenges firefighters face every day to keep our communities safe.

What: Fire Ops 101 event

Where: Carson City Fire Station #52 at 2400 East College Parkway, Carson City, NV.

When: Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
