Library Board of Trustees Meeting Today - November 16, 2016

Saint Mary’s Health Network is donating $3,500 to the North Valleys Library Renovation Project.

Saint Mary’s Health Network is teaming up with Washoe County Library System to support the North Valleys Library  renovation project and early childhood literacy efforts.  As a neighboring community partner, Saint Mary’s Health Network understands the importance of libraries in our communities.  Saint Mary’s Health Network will  present the donation at the next Washoe County Library Board of Trustees meeting  at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016  at the North Valleys Library located at 1075 North Hills Blvd. in Reno.

Saint Mary’s Health Network understands the importance of healthy living, and creates and promotes year-round wellness.  Washoe County Library System and Saint Mary’s Health Network are honored to be trusted partners who serve, give back, and grow with our communities.

“Saint Mary’s has a long history of supporting the neighborhoods we serve, and we are proud to make a donation to the North Valleys Library renovation. The North Valleys is a growing community and we anticipate seeing the renovation and how it will support individuals and families with learning and development,” said Chris King,  Vice President of Saint Mary’s Medical Group.

According to Library Director Jeff Scott, “strong community support and generous donations – like those from Saint Mary’s Health Network – bring us closer to our project goal for the North Valleys Library and reinforce Washoe County’s mission  to work together regionally to provide and sustain a safe, secure and healthy community.”  Saint Mary’s Health Network’s generous donation proves their ongoing commitment to the North Valleys Library and their community.

With such generous support for the library  and the new programs and services that will result from  the renovation,  Saint Mary’s Health Network is  underscoring the essential role that the North Valleys Library plays  in our community.  By continuing to stay viable and modern, the library will strengthen its position for construction of a new  library facility.  Our improvement project today is a step toward the North Valleys Library of tomorrow!
