Reno, Nevada. Jan. 20, 2017. With heavy storms predicted to hit the area this weekend and into next week, residents are asked to prepare for inclement weather. While flooding isn't anticipated, residents who live near ditches, tributaries or other water should see list of sandbags as a precautionary measure. Residents with questions or concerns should call 2-1-1. Incline Village residents should call 1-866-535-5654.

Washoe County crews are working throughout the weekend during the storm period and will focus on plowing priority one streets. Trash cans in the street and right of way hinder snow removal teams from clearing your road. Any effort to keep road ways clear is greatly appreciated by road crews.
