Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Serve on the new Washoe County Regional Animal Services Advisory Board

Application deadline is April 28.

Reno, Nevada. March 28, 2017.  Washoe County is accepting applications for persons living in Washoe County who are interested in serving on the Washoe County Regional Animal Services Advisory Board. 

Membership Detail

The Regional Animal Services Advisory Board was adopted by the Washoe County Board of Commissioners in 2016 with the purpose to facilitate communication between community members and the Department to ensure that programs, operations and goals related to the care and safety of animals are consistent with the needs of our community. 

The Regional Animal Services Advisory Board comprises seven members, each seat outlining a specific background or qualifying criteria.  The board will meet quarterly, beginning in the fall of 2017.  Board members serve in a voluntary capacity.
