Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Free concert & performance series to run from May-June

Reno, Nev. May 2, 2017. Programs on the Porch is back with fresh, new performances by fantastic local musicians, chautauquans and even a cowboy poet. A variety of talents will be showcased every Friday night from May 19 through June 16 from the porch of the historic Bowers Mansion.

WHAT: Programs on the Porch at Bowers Mansion.

WHEN: Performances start every Friday at 7 p.m., from May 19 – June 16.

WHERE: Bowers Mansion at 4005 US Highway 395 North, Carson City, NV.

DETAILS: The performance series is free, however donations are accepted. Bringing a blanket or lawn chair is recommended.

Programs on the Porch performance schedule:

  • May 19 – NV Humanities Chautauquans
  • May 26 – String Beings
  • June 2 – Acoustic Solution
  • June 9 – Jesse French
  • June 16 – Larry Maurice

“In its sixth consecutive year, we are excited to continue offering this opportunity for the public to come out and enjoy these wonderful outdoor performances within the iconic, historical setting of Bowers Mansion,” says Nick Steuer, Park Ranger.

Bowers Mansion in Washoe Valley is open for tours on weekends during the summer. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and children.
