Tonight’s “Walk with Washoe” event postponed

Due to weather conditions “Walk with Washoe” will resume August 8 at Callahan Park

Reno, Nev. August 1, 2017.  Due to smoke from recent fires, extreme heat and air quality conditions, the “Walk with Washoe” event that was scheduled for this evening at 6:30pm at Callahan Park is postponed. The walk to explore Callahan Park will resume next Tuesday, August 8 at 6:30 p.m. with the meet up location at the Galena Creek Trailhead.

“Walk with Washoe” events are open to the community and designed to invite your family to join the Washoe County family to get active together while exploring nature through all the scenic parks and trails Washoe County has to offer. “Walk with Washoe” offers guided walking hikes led by Park Rangers and will take place through Oct. 17, 2017.
