**Reposted on behalf of Artown

Reno, NV. Oct. 5, 2017. Artown is accepting art submissions for the 2018 poster concept. Whether you are world famous or an aspiring artist, seize the opportunity to represent the July 2018 Festival and the 23rd year of Artown. All artists are encouraged to submit selected designs that will brand the month long arts and culture festival.  The chosen artwork will be showcased throughout the month of July to promote over 500 multidisciplinary events.    The selected poster artwork and concept becomes the exclusive property of Artown and will be the icon for the Artown 2018 festival.  The artist will be contracted at $3,000.

For more information, visit http://renoisartown.com/poster-artist/.  Submissions are limited to no more than two different concepts per person.  The art needs to be designed specifically to promote the celebration of the 2018 Artown festival and may not come from an existing portfolio. Please only create the art and not a poster—Stan Can Design will create the poster from the approved piece. Each concept submitted does not need to be fully completed work but should effectively illustrate the vision of the final piece.

Artown is committed to showcasing regional talent.  Eligible artists must be from the Truckee Meadows region, the Lake Tahoe area, or from the following Nevada counties: Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, Storey, Churchill, Pershing, Washoe, Humboldt, Lander, Eureka, Elko, and White Pine.  All applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of experience.

Submissions must be received by Monday, November 13, 2017 by 4:00 p.m.  Email the art submissions to raquel@renoisartown.com or submit in person at the Artown office, 528 West First Street, Reno, NV, 89503.

For questions please call 775-322-1538.
