The passing of community leader, Darryl Feemster, Sr.

Reno, Nev. Nov. 22, 2017. On Nov. 8, 2017 the northern Nevada community lost a long-time advocate for youth and seniors with the passing of Darryl Feemster, Sr.

"I am, as well as the rest of our community, shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of a beloved member of our community, Darryl Feemster, Sr. Our entire region has lost a true community leader, mentor to our youth and voice for our seniors,” remarks Commissioner Kitty Jung. “With accomplishments like the Duncan-Traner Community Library and the annual Reno/Tahoe Senior Games, his work and legacy will shine bright in our community for decades to come.”

With the loss of Mr. Feemster during this holiday season, the Commission sends their prayers and condolences to the Feemster family as they grieve his passing during this time.
