Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Weather Update

An update to Lemmon Valley residents

Weather Update. Washoe County and National Weather Service Reno have been closely monitoring incoming storms for adjustments that need to be made, including the possible closing of Lemmon Drive. High winds are expected to rise which may temporarily push water onto roads in the area. Stormwater can also be expected with temporary high flows in ditches. If stormwater starts to look threatening, feel free to call:

  • If you see water on the road
  • If you have water in your home
  • If water is keeping you from accessing your home

Sandbags. Washoe County highly encourages all residents to prepare for winter weather. Should the need arise, sandbags are available at various location throughout Washoe County. Please be prepared to fill the sandbags at the locations by bringing a shovel and assistance if possible.

In addition, the following locations will have sandbags available for Lemmon Valley area residents:

• Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District Station #223, 130 Nectar St., Lemmon Valley

• Lemmon Drive and Pompe Way intersection, Lemmon Valley
