Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Volunteers Needed for Ballot Measure Committees

Short-term committees created for new ballot question

Reno, Nev. April 13, 2018. This coming November, voters can expect to see a new ballot question regarding a proposed increase in property taxes, to fund a flood protection project by the Truckee River Flood Management Authority. Washoe County is now recruiting volunteers to serve on Ballot Question Argument Committees – one committee to write an argument in favor of the proposed increase, and one committee to write an argument against the proposed increase.

Time Commitment

Committee members will be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners on May 8, 2018 and final written committee arguments are due to the Registrar of Voters by July 10, 2018.
