Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Sections of La Posada Drive in Sparks to Close for Widening Project

Reno, Nev. April 25, 2018. Portions of La Posada Drive in Sparks will be intermittently closed later this week and again in May as Q & D Construction widens the road from two lanes to four from Omni Drive to Rockwell Blvd. in preparation for the new Stonebrook Subdivision.

The road closures will take place this Thursday and Friday, April 26 and 27 on La Posada from Cordoba Blvd. to Rockwell Blvd. from 6 am to 7 pm. The same closures will take place again on May 2-4 and May 9-11. Detours will be in place.

In June, Q & D will close La Posada from Cordoba Blvd. to Rockwell Blvd. for three weeks as they install a roundabout at the Omni Drive/La Posada Intersection and pave the widened La Posada Drive. They will also install a walking path to connect Rockwell Blvd to Cordoba Blvd.

Vehicle traffic is expected to significantly increase on La Posada when more than 2100 single family homes are built in the new Stonebrook Subdivision.
