Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Nevada Wolf Pack baseball and Washoe County Human Services Agency partnering for foster parents.

Reno, Nev. May 2, 2018. Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) is teaming up with the Nevada Wolf Pack to celebrate National Foster Care Month on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park, when the Wolf Pack baseball team plays host to the Fresno State Bulldogs at 1 p.m. Tailgating with the Wolf Pack and foster families begins at 11 a.m.

National Foster Care Month in May provides an opportunity for people from all across the nation to focus on the year-round needs of American children and youth in foster care, with the goal of encouraging more people to get involved in their lives as parents, volunteers, mentors, employers or in other ways.

The Human Services Agency is in need of more foster parents. The public can review the FAQ about becoming a foster parent online. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please contact the Washoe County Human Services Agency at 775-337-4470.
