Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Calling all students: Flag Day Poem Contest Now Open

Contest in honor of Second Annual Flag Day, all students invited to participate

Reno, Nev. May 10, 2018. In honor of the 2018 Flag Day, the Second Judicial District Court (SDJC) is once again hosting a Flag Day Poem Contest for local students, with the top three finalists also earning a cash prize of up to $100.

The top three winners will also be invited to read their poem during the Flag Day celebration on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. and be featured in the Washoe County Bar Association’s Publication, The WRIT.

The poem finalists will be selected based on technical excellence, organization, creativity and power. The 2018 Poem Contest Theme is: “What Does Living in the USA Mean to Me?” The SDJC invites all school-aged students to participate. The deadline to submit an entry is May 18, 2018.
