Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Due to fire alarm, Mills B. Lane Courthouse closed

Reno, Nev. May 21, 2018. Due to a fire alarm activation, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office will be closed today. At approximately 7:40 a.m. this morning, a fire alarm activated at the Mills B. Lane Courthouse deploying the sprinkler system and flooding some areas of the building. Employees and the public were immediately evacuated.

As a result the Family Support, Criminal and Civil Division of the District Attorney’s Office will be closed for the day.

The Reno Justice Court is open today. The Second Judicial District Court is currently open but is subject to change.

An investigation by the Reno Fire Department is underway and a restoration crew is currently assessing the extent of the water damage. For questions or to check if your court case is cancelled, please call 328-3200.
