Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Volunteers needed, last day for resident sign ups

Reno, Nev. June 20, 2018. Washoe County, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, Washoe County Citizen Corps, Salvation Army, Volunteers of America and Waste Management are working together to host two sandbag community clean-up events in the Swan and Silver Lake areas, where heavier flood mitigation materials were deployed - and they need your help.

Volunteers Needed:

What: Sandbag Community Clean-Up Events

When: Saturday, June 23 and June 30, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Where: Volunteers need to please register at www.ktmb.org/volunteer and meet at 8 a.m. at the TMFPD Lemmon Valley Fire Station #223, 130 Nectar Street, Reno, 89506

A continental breakfast and coffee will be provided for volunteers. Volunteers are asked to please bring work gloves and a shovel, however they will be provided if they do not have them.  

For residents who would like to request clean-up assistance, please sign up no later than Wednesday, June 20 by 5 p.m. for this weekend's event, by calling Washoe311 by dialing 3-1-1 from any phone.
