Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

The Perry Fire is currently burning 12,500 acres north of Sparks in the Pyramid and Grass Valley areas and growing.

The Perry Fire is currently burning 12,500 acres north of Sparks in the Pyramid and Grass Valley areas and growing. The fire was initially reported at 5:22 pm on Friday, July 27, 2018.

The Bureau of Land Management, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, Nevada Division of Forestry, and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District are working together to investigate the cause of the fire. The agencies are requesting members of the public that may have seen a vehicle(s) leaving the vicinity of the fire during the time of the initial report of the fire to contact 775.461.6200.
