Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

New ball fields bring excitement for local sports teams

Reno, Nev. Sept. 20, 2018. Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space in partnership with the City of Reno, are proud to announce the official ribbon cutting and unveiling of the new ball fields at the North Valleys Regional Park.

The North Valleys Regional Park expansion project includes the addition of a little league field, the large Babe Ruth field, to accommodate women’s softball, and a new hiking trail.

North Valleys Regional Park Ribbon Cutting Event

Who: Washoe County Regional Parks & Open Space in partnership with City of Reno, and the Spanish Springs Cal Ripken Little League team.

What: North Valleys Regional Park Expansion Ribbon Cutting.

When:  Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 5:30 p.m.

Where: North Valleys Regional Park, 8085 Silver Lake Road, Stead. Event will take place on location at the new ball fields (southeast portion of the park).

Note to media: Event will include appearances by Washoe County and City of Reno elected officials and the Spanish Springs Cal Ripken Little League team, who will help with the ceremonial ribbon-cutting. Cookies and bottled water will be served.
