Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Free Family Health Festival slated for Monday, October 8

Services provided to attendees on first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last

RENO, Nev. – October 8, 2018 – Truckee Meadows Healthy Communities (TMHC) in collaboration with the Washoe County School District, Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Washoe County Health District, Community Health Alliance, Renown, and other partners is hosting another Family Health Festival on Monday, October 8 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at O’Brien Middle School, at 10500 Stead Blvd., in Reno. The event brings free and low-cost services to kids, students, adults and seniors while supplies last.

Services provided will include: Flu shots and health screenings, food stamps/SNAP and WIC registration; family planning; HIV testing; health insurance enrollment information; energy information assistance, school supplies and more.

This Family Health Festival is generously sponsored by Health Plan of Nevada and NV Energy. The Family Health Festival is part of Washoe County’s Community Health Improvement Plan working with local organizations to improve community health by focusing on food access, physical activity and nutrition, affordable housing, and healthcare access and education.
