Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Washoe County Health District releases new Online Resource Library to improve food safety

The Washoe County Health District (WCHD) has updated its Food Safety Resource Library page to include guidance documents that that are now offered in Chinese and Spanish.

Reno, Nevada - Guidance documents are a useful tools in helping foodservice businesses develop food safety management systems and prevent foodborne illness. Washoe County has seen an increase in the number of food establishment business over the last several years and the food service processes have become more complex. The need for information is vital in keeping our community safe. The Health District is confident these tools will help break down language barriers and increase safe food handling practices in our community.
