Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Washoe County helps make Halloween sweet for local elementary students

Reno, Nev. October 30, 2018. Multiple Washoe County departments will be giving out treats to approximately 240 students at Glenn Duncan S.T.E.M Academy, celebrating a long-standing partnership between Washoe County and the elementary school as part of the Education Alliance Partner in Education program.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY – WCSD students Trick-or-Treat throughout Washoe County Complex:

When: Wednesday, October 31, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

9:30 a.m.: Washoe County Sheriff’s Office motorcycle escort from Glenn Duncan STEM Academy, 1200 Montello St, Reno, 89512, to Washoe County Complex, 1001 E, Ninth Street, Reno, 89512.

10:00 a.m.: Glenn Duncan elementary students, grades K, 1 & 2, begin trick-or-treating in the Washoe County Complex Atrium, Bldg. A.

What:  Glenn Duncan S.T.E.M. Academy students.

Who:  Glenn Duncan S.T.E.M. Academy students, staff and the following Washoe County departments:

  • County Manager’s Office
  • Human Resources
  • Clerk’s Office
  • Recorder’s Office
  • Registrar of Voters
  • Community Services
  • Health District
  • Tech Services
  • Treasurer
  • Assessor’s Office
  • Comptroller
