Reno, Nev. Dec. 3, 2018. The Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) Senior Services Division, Regional Parks and Open Space, and the Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada invite the media and general public to the new Spanish Springs meal site for seniors on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 at 11 a.m.

The new site will serve seniors 60 and older nutritious meals, prepared by Catholic Charities at the Washoe County Senior Center. The Spanish Springs meal site is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to having a meal, seniors can socialize, play board and card games and enjoy the occasional live entertainment on select days.

Seniors 60 and older are provided a well-balanced meal with a suggested voluntary donation of $2. A $4 donation is required for individuals under the age of 60.

Meals served at the new Spanish Springs Congregate Meal Site are part of the Senior Nutrition Program, which serves more than 400,000 meals to seniors throughout Washoe County every year.
