Closed For Construction Improvements.

UPDATED 2/26/2019: Due to construction needs, the closure of the Downtown Reno Library has been extended through Sunday, March 3. The Downtown Reno Library is expected to reopen to the public for regular hours on Monday, March 4.

The Downtown Reno Library, a branch of Washoe County Library System, is making some improvements to public spaces and will be closed to the public on Tuesday, February 26, 2019.  The construction upgrades are expected to continue through the remainder of the week, but the library is expected to reopen on Wednesday for regular hours.

These improvements are part of an ongoing effort by the Washoe County Library System to ensure a first class library system to all our residents.  According to Library Director Jeff Scott, “These enhancements will improve customer service, expand the children’s area, relocate the internet terminals to allow for easier access, and centralize our customer service point of contact.”  Scott continued, “We appreciate the community’s support during this process, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

All other libraries remain open for regular hours. For complete hours and location information, as well as online services, please visit washoecountylibrary.us.
