Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Washoe County Regional Animal Services helps pets stay healthy with upcoming event

Reno, Nev. June 3, 2019. Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) is serving the pets in Washoe County by holding a Low-Cost Vaccination and Microchip Clinic at Paradise Park on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Low cost vaccinations, free microchips and dog licenses are available.

Low Cost Vaccination and Microchip Clinic:

WHAT: Low-cost vaccinations, dog licensing and free microchip clinic hosted by WCRAS.           

WHEN: Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 

WHERE: Paradise Park, the parking lot next to Bizarre Guitar, 2660 Carville Dr., Reno, NV  89512

WCRAS staff and contract veterinarian will be on-site to provide vaccinations and microchipping for the pets of Washoe County. Core vaccinations being offered are: Canine Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccinations $10.00 each and Canine Bordetella (kennel cough) booster vaccination are $20.00 each. Feline FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations are $10.00 each. Dog licenses are $8.00 for dogs that are spayed or neutered and $20.00 for dogs that are not spayed or neutered.  Per Washoe County Code, Chapter 55.390, no more than three dogs and seven cats are permitted per residence without a variance permit.  Please do not bring your dog on a retractable leash and all cats must be in a cat carrier.

Dogs over four months of age are required to be licensed with WCRAS.

Free microchips are available for both dogs and cats at this event as well as at the WCRAS  location Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. year round. For more information, please visit: https://www.washoecounty.us/animal/news_and_events/events_and_clinics.php
