Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Court of the Year Award

June 4, 2019.  The Nevada Association of Court Executives (NACE), a statewide organization dedicated to Nevada’s judicial system and promoting effective and professional administration of courts, has announced the Court of the Year Award recipient is Washoe County’s Second Judicial District Court (SJDC).

“We are humbled and honored to receive such a prestigious award from the NACE,” says Chief Judge Scott Freeman. “We work hard every day to implement innovative programs and services, and to see them recognized demonstrates our dedication to quality public service.”

The NACE Court of the Year Award recognizes a Nevada court that utilizes best practices to develop, implement and benchmark innovative and efficient processes that result in the effective delivery of judicial services to the public. The Court of the Year Award underscores the mission of the NACE, to promote quality court management and leadership through education, best practices and process improvement.
