Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

See our booth at Food Truck Friday Sept. 20 from 4-9 p.m.

Reno, Nev. Sept. 19, 2019 - The 2019 Disaster Preparedness Fair is this Friday, Sept. 20, at the Food Truck Friday event at Idlewild Park. 

Come down to enjoy delicious food as well as grab a free Go Bag and emergency hand-crank radio, talk with emergency preparedness experts and celebrate National Preparedness Month. Families can learn the basics of preparing for a disaster, which are:

  • Make a Plan
  • Assemble a Kit
  • Stay Informed

The event is being hosted by the Washoe County Health District, Washoe County Emergency Manager, Nevada State Contractors Board, University of Nevada, Reno, Cooperative Extension, Washoe County School District, American Red Cross Pet First Aid and Living With Fire.
