After today’s public interview process, Commissioners select new County Manager

Eric-Brown-Photo.jpgReno, Nev. Sept. 30, 2019. After a Special Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners which included a public interview process with the top three candidates, Commissioners have selected Mr. Eric Brown as the next Washoe County Manager.

Commissioners had an opportunity to hear from each of the candidates in a five-minute introduction, which highlighted their experience and background.  After all of the candidate presentations, Commissioners interviewed each candidate in random order for a 45-minute public interview session.

After the introductions and interview session were complete, Commissioners deliberated and motioned to select Brown as the Washoe County Manager.

The Board provided direction to staff regarding the negotiation of an employment contract which will come back to the Board at a future date.
