Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Sun Valley General Improvement District honors Commissioner’s contributions

Kitty-Jung-12-21.jpgReno, Nev. Oct. 24, 2019. Washoe County Commissioner, Kitty Jung, has been selected as a Sun Valley General Improvement District (SVGID) Community Services Award Recipient, as part of the 2019 Sun Valley Community Services Awards.

Each year, the Sun Valley General Improvement District recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations whose efforts contribute significantly to the Sun Valley community. This year, Washoe County Commissioner, Kitty Jung, has been selected for an award to be bestowed on October 24 at 6 p.m. during the SVGID Board of Trustees meeting.

“I am so grateful, not only to be recognized as an award recipient, but that I have the opportunity to serve the wonderful Sun Valley community,” said Commissioner Jung. “There are so many impactful businesses and citizens that make Sun Valley a great place to live, I am truly honored to receive this award.”

The Sun Valley Community Services Awards nominees are submitted by the community who have nominated local people or businesses that go above and beyond to improve the quality of life for Sun Valley and its residents.
