Downtown Reno Library Elevator News
Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Community welcome to Washoe County Park for 13th annual family-friendly event

Turkey.jpgReno, Nev. Nov. 6, 2019. Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space is excited to celebrate the season with the 13th Annual “Meet the Turkeys” event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9 at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. 

The turkeys will be in several pens for viewing, including an open pen where the public can enter, take photos and trot with the turkeys. In addition to Rancho San Rafael’s heritage turkeys, the community can also enjoy farm animals, Moolisa the milking cow from the Nevada Department of Agriculture, story time hosted by the Washoe County Library, and more.

13th Annual “Meet the Turkeys” Open House:

When: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019

Where: Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra Street, Reno

Cost: Free, however community is welcome to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
