Staff seeks to give animals staying at the shelter a special feast on Christmas Day

Reno, Nev. Dec. 12, 2019.  Washoe County Animal Services (WCRAS) is excited to announce they are planning a special Christmas Day feast to give the animals in care at the shelter an extra special “Christmas Pawliday”. To help make this special meal possible, WCRAS is asking any community members interested in helping, for the following canned good donations:

  • Canned chicken
  • Canned sweet or regular potatoes
  • Canned sliced carrots

“Washoe County Regional Animal Services works hard all year long to provide excellent care for the animals in our community,” says Tammy Wines-Jennings, Assistant Director, WCRAS. “This year on Christmas Day, the WCRAS team will be working as Santa’s Helpers to give the animals in our care a special meal on Christmas Day.”

These generous food donations listed above can be brought to the Washoe County Regional Animal Services Shelter at 2825 Longley Lane Suite A,  through December 23, 2019.
