The Downtown Reno and North Valleys Libraries have expanded their hours!

The Washoe County Library System is pleased to announce that effective Wednesday, July 7, 2021 the Downtown Reno and North Valleys Libraries will be expanding their open hours to the public.

Downtown Reno Library: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm; Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm; Sunday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

North Valleys Library: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm; Wednesday from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm; Saturday from noon until 4:00 pm.

Beginning January 2021, staff throughout the Library System, including a majority of the staff from the North Valleys Library, participated in a COVID-19 contact tracing program, an effort led by the Washoe County School District and the Washoe County Health District. This project was successful in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and keeping K-12 students in school. Now that the project has come to a close the North Valleys Library staff are looking forward to an increase in hours and services.

Washoe County Library System is anticipating additional expanded hours for several library locations in the fall of 2021. For the most up-to-date information on hours and services please visit washoecountylibrary.us.
